Hi Edgar, I agree with you on the chemicals used for suspended algae but I’ll go one better. UV lights don’t differentiate between good and bad bacteria, so, for me, extra filtration is the answer. We’ve been making our own bio-filters for years and my ponds are always clear and they never have hair algae.
