water chem question
hey all, so i set up my tank this weekend. i filters, subtrate, fiertilizer, plants, and some decorations. due to a family emergancy i was unable to put any fish in there (and won’t be for another few days). i tested my water yesturday for the first time since it was all going and i got this : ammonia 1ppm pH 6 (???!!!!!!) nitrate and -ite are at 0ppm i’m most conserned about my pH. my tap water after sitting out for 24 hours has a pH of 7.8. did the plants drop the pH that much? what should i do??
