[UniQuaria] unidentified fish
Me too, I mean he is neat to watch and stuff, but I don’t want to take chances that he will get hungry and grab an unsuspecting cichlid…
I also called a local pet store and they sell them for around that price too.
I just don’t have a set up for him at all, I don’t have a large enough tank, no room to buy another either or the funds, would have to sell three horses just to afford the tank….lmao
Horses are not selling either…ugh

Wow.. He sounds like an interesting critter. 10″+ though! Does say uncommon to the hobbyist and expect to pay 20-25 pounds for it, so roughly $40-50. At least you didn’t get taken on the price. Hopefully you can recoup some money in getting rid of him.——-Original Message——-From: Lana and Troy BollersDate: 7/16/2008 1:34:33 AMSubject: [SPAM]Re: [UniQuaria] unidentified fishCetopsis coecutiens this is the monster I have….

Subject: Re: [UniQuaria] unidentified fish> O.K., this is not a mormyrid. It is a catfish for sure. I believe it to be
one of the Ompok species from Asia, also some are found in India as well. I
will look into it more tomorrow. But they are all over the import lists
right now. They are usually sold as Ompok Sharks, but they are catfis h.
Where did you get the fish? If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you
pay for it? I will e-mail back tomorrow with a species name. It looks like
Ompok bimaculatus, but the dorsal seems a little small than what I am used
to seeing on bimaculatus.
