[UniQuaria] Getting Corydoras Hadrosus to Breed

Hi Al: My Corydoras breed and lay eggs like maniacs. What seems to trigger this in them is one or two large (50 percent) water changes with dechlorinated water that is just a little cooler than the water you have in your tank. The more experience they get laying eggs, the more eggs they lay. To get viable fry the first few times I removed the eggs and put them in my shrimp tank. Otherwise the parents just eat the eggs. I also put a capful of Melafix in the tank with the eggs. Be careful how many eggs you save. It didn’t take too long before I had too many babies. I’ve given lots away and still have lots more. Good luck, Deb Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
