YES, Correct. A UV light makes the water dirtier and more contaminated. SURPRISE!!!!! Now aren’t all of you with expensive UV’s happy to know that…..?

Sorry Barbara, I’ve been out of town. Far as what likes oranges, yes Goldfish but I don’t have any of those. My bala sharks, gold barbs, and odessa barbs really love them.

Ok, I’ll bite on this one. I would have to say it makes it dirtier.
The UV light will clear up the water itself but not remove contaminants like a plant would and Algae being a plant,massive amounts of tinny plants in your water should remove more contaminants and oxygenate the water than a filter alone.
