Dr. Tim, Glad to see you’re still keeping Cichlids. My apologies for inadvertently omitting your serving as ACA treasurer these past 10 years, which the members here should be aware of if they’re to get a more complete picture of you. A quick check of my ACA BB’s […]

Thanks Lenny, I will definitely let you know how long he makes it. As far as I can tell he’s healthy, just mad about his tank size, he thumps the other fish with his tail and either eats them or leaves them to die if he doesn’t like them, bad fishy […]

Dewdude/Tim,
I think you mis-read Ray’s reply. He was replying to another post in your thread that did not have relevance to your original post. He was not replying to your initial post.
I’m sorry I can’t help you since I’ve never kept them and haven’t even read much about the various color schemes being […]

Walmart does sell a 55 gallon setup but it is about $160. +. Better to try and get some used tanks and new filters if […]

Hi Dewdude; I don’t know how long you’ve had your fish, but they are just like any other animal. They may be too young yet, or they may just not be “comfortable” in your tank set up to be thinking about sex. You didn’t mention how large the tank was and […]

The tubing that comes with the filter is pretty thick, so they probably had the standard tubing that came with it, unless for some reason they wanted even thicker tubing (not sure why someone would). The tubing on the filter is fairly stiff, not made to bend very easily, not sure about […]
