I have lost a number of adult mystery snails to the intake filter. I have a fluval canister on the tank that this happened to and I had to put a sponge pre filter on it to avoid this problem. Pam

Start looking on craigslist, freecycle and other sources for cheap or free tanks and put this information in front of your Husband and have him start buying some tanks for these fish.
Walmart does sell a 55 gallon setup but it is about $160. +. Better to try and get some used tanks and new filters if […]

Plexiglass… where you can make custom cut-outs for your filters, etc. This will also save you on water… in areas where water conservation is a concern… since any evaporation would collect on the plexiglass and drip back into the tank.
