I usually turn off the filter during PWC’s to prevent excess air from entering the system, which makes a racket and takes a long time to re- equilibrate. Unfortunately, this allowed one of the platies to swim into the filter output nozzle during the split second when the water was at […]

The owner does not need to join Grouply to block their list from Grouply. If the owner requests it, I will forward him the appropriate links.
Again, Grouply does not spam. Unwanted messages may come from Grouply, but they are initiated by those drinking the Grouply kool-aid. They want you to join them for a drink. […]

The proper resolution to this issue is for the owner of this group to (i think) join grouply and request that the group be removed from grouply so that it cannot archive messages and send spam to members of the group. At any rate the issue can be resolved by the owners of this group […]

Yeah.. and this time, it’s not my fault!
The last time we had this much snow in southern Louisiana was Christmas weekend of 1989… an infamous weekend when I got married. My mom always said it would be a cold day in hell if I ever got married… and I think that the three days […]

Many times it’s not the seller who’s at fault. It’s the way they are handled by the shipping people.

Only thing I’d tell you is to follow the same rules as with fish. My sister, brother in law, and nephews are trying their hand at raising frog eggs into frogs. When I was out there a couple of weeks ago, the water was white and stank, there […]

Lenny,
I take it that your reply is directed at me. I no longer work 12 hour days on weekends. If I do work on weekends, it is seldom for more than 6 hours, and not on both days. The 50-80 hours I put in during the 5 days of the work week are plenty for […]

Beverly, it sounds to me like your ballast has been possibly damaged by a power surge. Compact Fluorescents don’t use starters so there’s nothing more to the whole fixture than a switch, ballast and bulbs. Do try to mount perhaps an old bulb you may have to make sure the bulb […]
