[AquaticLife] An experiment has started…

Not exactly the same, but I added SafeStart to my tank Saturday and the ammonia was pretty much cycled by Sunday morning. I wish I had done it a month ago, but I thought it would be cycled on its own by now. The nitrites […]

[AquaticLife] An experiment has started…

I hope you didn’t mess up. There was no need to add ammonia first. If anything, you should have added the Dr. Tim’s first, then started dosing ammonia.. or just added fish.. since that is the purpose of the product.
I guess it should still work if the backwards plan of adding the ammonia […]

An experiment has started…

Well, today I added 4 parts per million ammonia to a 12 gal. tank. Then I added Dr. Tim’s one and only to the tank and filter.
Tomorrow mourning I plan to test the ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates to see if I have a fully cycled tank or not.

OT for Ray

Over the years, I have only had one problem with a Dell tech. The guy would not listen to me and treated me like I was some kind of a dummy, making me repeat all the stuff I had already done and told him about. What I did was to pretend I was running […]

I skipped over DebR’s question earlier this morning (what the heck am I doing getting up at 4 AM when I can sleep late?). Algae is a primitive plant, probably the most primitive we are likely to see up close and personal. It is often the first plant to grow in aquaria, even if we […]

OT for Ray

Hey Ray, my husband is a bit of a computer tech (he fixes my computers when I break them, LOL). You might find that when you do get a new computer that windows xp won’t be too bad of an upgrade for your operating system. I was a long time windows xp […]
