Saturday night quiz thingee
Basic question for some… So no answers until Sunday evening, please.
Scenario: basic watergarden with lots of anacharis and some lilies, water hyacinths and a lotus. Approx. 1000 gallons. 10 6″ goldfish. Pump with pre-screen, waterfall, no filter. Owner barely feeds the fish - just an occasional treat. Crystal clear water, but, as usual, a little foam at the base of the waterfall (no spawning.)
It is summer here in mid-America and the weather has been good for several days. The pH on this normal morning at sunrise is 7.4. What would you expect the pH to be late in the afternoon - and why?
