Re:Temporary housing??

Well, I don’t know how big your Oscar is, but Oscars are pretty resilient and adaptable so you could use the Rubbermaid or even a significantly smaller tank if it’s just going to be a few days’ time in respect to “temporary” - just be sure to include a fair amount of his current tank’s water to reduce stress - and you might want to seriously consider putting something over the top of whatever temporary containment you use because he might try to “jump out” on ya… also, you might want to consider something covering the top to inhibit any particles, chemicals, debris, dust, unknown-whatevers that could travel unbeknownst to you during the revamping of your floors and into his containment (both current and temporary) - you never know what might be around when tackling such projects… lead paint and asbestos usually jump to mind for people, but there’s a lot of products used in the past that have since been pulled from the market because of adverse effects being discovered - INCLUDING in various adhesives, wood treatments, etc. along with unseen biological stuff such as fungi and molds and their spores, bacterias that hang out in places we don’t normally have exposed (under flooring, behind wallpaper, in walls, and so on)…
Think outside the tank :)
