Re- [Ponds-Koi] WATER?!? YEH, RIGHT!
That’s exactly what I’m saying, but there is still evaporation and it depends on the surface area of the upper pond as to what it shows up as on the lower. I have a circulating system. Two ponds with 50ft creek and 2 waterfalls. The upper pond is 3 times the size of the lower and when we have dry windy weather the lower pond has to be refilled very frequently because of the evaporation in the much larger upper pond and the creek and waterfalls. I would say the one inch rate would show as at least 3 in my lower pond.
