depends on what type of cichlids you have. Even though all cichlids are considered aggressive fish there are maybe 4 levels of aggresiveness, mildly, moderately highly, and extremely aggressive. I have 2 black skirt tetra left over from a community tank in with a total of 7 cichlids, 3 adult Acei’s and 4 juvenille Yellow Labs and they have been living together for a couple months now. The Acei and yellow lab’s are considered mildly agressive cichlid’s. On the other hand i don’t think they would last 10 minutes if I put them in with auratus which are considered extremely aggressive cichlid’s. So what it really comes down to is what kinda cichlids do you have. If you know what kinda cichlids you have but unsure of their temperment go to www.cichlid-forum.com and just look them up under profiles.
