problems with tank
Hello, I am new here and have a serious problem. I have a 55 gallon tank that had goldfish at one time done great for awhile about 1 1/2 years, then they started dying on me. Found out it seems to be too acidic water. I was using a test kit (from where I worked) that was too old to be using. I lost all the orandas. I started testing with a new kit, even had a local pet store test it for me. Water was great. All my fish died that I have put in it. I took the entire tank down and cleaned with bleach ( someone told me it might have bacteria in it) Rinsed forever. Then let the tank dry for over a week and restarted it. I put bottled water in it. Let it run for about a month before adding fish. Water was still good according to pet store. Every fish i put in dies within a couple of minutes to an hour. I am draining it again and need to know what to clean it with to get started off right. Any help would greatly appreciated. I hate killing fish. I dont know what to do.
