[Ponds-Koi] snails
Well.. sell this customer a more frequent maintenance program. Take before/after tests of the water parameters and show the customer how bad their water is for their fish. Explain that they need DAILY 10% to 25% PWC’s (partial water changes) and DAILY filter maintenance to remove the pollutants and waste from the water and filter system due to it being overstocked. If they have enough money to throw away at new fish to replace all the dead ones, let them throw some of that money at you.
Maybe drop a hint that they better hope that nobody at the pond store ever reports them for the number of fish that they have lost. Not that the local animal control would actually do anything but maybe the fear that this home could end up on the nightly news would be the thing that would prompt them to quit maintaining their pond so poorly.
DO NOT USE CHEMICALS FOR THIS PROBLEM AS THAT WOULD LIKELY CAUSE A MASSIVE FISH KILL FROM ALL THE CHEMICALS AND THE ADDED DECAYING SNAIL CORPSES IN AN ALREADY POORLY MAINTAINED AND OVERSTOCKED POND.
