[Ponds-Koi] I lost a fish =(
Yeah, it’s hard to sex goldfish except during spawning times when the males will get breeding tubercles (like grains of salt but only on their gill covers and leading rays of their pectoral fins).
It’s best to have two females for each male so the breeding aggression is spread out but since it’s hard to tell what we have until they start breeding, all you can do is separate the most aggressive males so they do not harass the females too much. In your size pond, you probably don’t want them breeding anyhow since your pond won’t be able to handle much more of a bioload… unless you know others who would take the baby goldfish off your hands.
