[Ponds-Koi] algae on top of pond net
Is the net in the water? If it is in the water, it would have been better to have the net suspended above the water. If it is above the water and has a lot of leaves in the net that are just wet and decaying, use a leaf blower from under the net to blow the leaves off. If you have a slightly windy day, use Mother Nature so you would just have to blow the leaves up into the air and Mother Nature would carry them off. Algae itself will not hurt your Koi but excess leaves in your pond can form a layer of decaying detritus on the bottom of the pond which will adversely affect water quality, can promote the growth of bad bacteria and cause algae problems in your pond.
