New 50gal freshwater set up
Just wanted to let you know, I do a 20% water change about 1-2 times a month, depending on which tank. My angels seem to like every other week, my community tank (Bala,tetra,daneos and platies) once a month is sufficient. I got tired of carrying water so I bought one of the cheap gravel siphon kit,; about $7, went to Lowes, got about 20 ft of the same size hose and a connector. I run the water right out the door and it cost a little less than 13 bucks. I still tote water to refill but not a big deal since it is a one way trip. Good luck!!
