Low ph

Hello, My ph is low I have tested consistently in the morning and it is 6.8. I am using the Api testing kit, it is normally 7.0. I have asked our local pond store and she said that she wouldn’t be concerned about it. She said that the ph will go up if there is debri and sludge in the pond. Her final conclusion was that my pond is too clean and that if I still wanted to raise the ph to use a ph up product. When asked if a buffer was needed she couldn’t answer because the bottle didn’t say one way or another. I also asked about the GH/KH readings and she said they only matter if it is a commercial business and homeowners or small pond owners don’t need to worry about that. Well I have read enough posts to know I should be concerned and now I am needing to know what is the best way to approach this. I have read that conkleshell or lime chips can be added as a buffer and natural way to help. Is this true and how do I do it and how much? 2400 gallon pond oval shaped with stream that creates waterfall into pond 4 koi @ 10inches each. Thankyou in advance, Aimee
