Koi not eating and hiding
Thankyou for the reply. The sequence of problems was: older fish died first, Two new koi died within days of being put in the pond, Second older fish died. Now all fish not feeding.
Unfortunately I don’t have any facilities to quarantine the new fish so they had to be directly introduced into the pond. Not ideal.
I’ve been keeping the lilly small and filtration runs 24h a day to try and keep the O2 levels up. Also a second pump dropping water into the pond running occasionally.
As eveything had been running ok since the pond was constructed 14years ago, I have never carried out any tests on the water. What tests would you suggest I need to carry out and what is the most important one to start with? as I am new to testing and treating the pond, what small test kits would you suggest I use?
