I’m once again thoroughly enjoying ponding/ koi keeping
welcome back to koi keeping once a week will be enough if your pond is full of algae and mosquito larvae I have tried to feed my koi every other day they are indoors they become thin. The problem is the water quality if you feed them often however if you pond is big enough than the population it will not be a problem for your filter to cope up. Koi farm want to save money and their koi is from mostly from mudpond so no feeding is required. When they transfer it in holding tanks they like to save water and food and power as much as possible. I saw a seller they feed only once a day but they feed it very litlle average 3 small pellet per koi , during may every other day the water quality is good however I don’t like their body what is your filter setup? do you use bakki shower?
