I know another pump question

I need a new fountain pump I lost a pump yesterday. Our pond is clay bottom 90′x 90′ aprox 5′5″ at deepest part average deapth 4′. I have a mucky pond the fish stir it up and I don’t know the fish load I know I have put 10 koi in there over the past 3 years and 15 gold fish were put in there 17 years ago, you can guess there are many more now. Does anyone know anything about Cal-Pumps? There are some nice high Gph pumps online and ebay. Can I use these waterfall pumps as fountain pumps? Will it hurt the pump or not give me the psi I need for the height of a 10′ fountian. We were looking at the magnetic drive ones that moved about 5500 gph - 10,000 gph. I also need to look at the cost factor (yes the kids come before the fish … :{ ) I also don’t want to wake up to a pond full of fish soup if they will be sucked in. Nor do I the ability to get into the pond often I sink in the muck so it has to handle solids.. I have a 950 gph pump for my bog garden any help?? Thanks Rebecca
