Feeder guppies

I’m hoping someone has some ideas for me. I picked up feeder guppies over the weekend. Of course, I wanted to quarantine them first to make sure they wouldn’t bring any nasty buggers in. And, of course, most of them have already died - LONG before a 2 week quarantine would end. Are feeders just this worthless as far as even surviving a quarantine or what? Am I going to have to set up a separate tank just for breeding my own feeders? I’d prefer NOT to do that, as space is at a premium in this house right now. Thoughts? Ideas?
