Eheim 2227 and PH
I am using Ehfisubstrate in both trays. In the top tray there are also a handful of ceramic rings mixed in. Bayshore water is a little on the hard side but usually never changes. I have a fire station on the next road so the are constantly opening up the hydrants to clean their trucks and for practice so i get a lot of minerals in the water. I have a GE smartwater mainline filter (NOT a RO or water softener) that just filters out the major sediments. 10 micron I believe. I usually check all my levels in the morning before work. After I did another 30% water change, my ph is at 7.0ppm.
