Dying Fish, Cycled Tank, Red Gills?

The fish looked well when they were purchased. Had two females drop fry within two weeks of having them, possibly more but I didn’t remove all obviously pregnant females (haven’t lost any fry since my original post - they’re in a 20g with a couple cory cats). The 75g is about four months old, so I’ve been slowly adding fish since the tank cycled around 6-weeks. None of the added fish showed any signs of disease and the platties are the only ones showing signs of distress (the clamped fins, red gills). I did lose one cory, but I can’t explain that either because they all seem fine and show no signs of disease.
