can mother nature cut me some slack here?!
We’ve been having some crazy weather up here in Minnesota. Had a tornado rip thru one day & straight line winds the next! No damage I can’t fix (glued flower pot and bird bath etc). However one of my fish was roughed up. Ironically I have a ceramic-type fish sitting on top of a wicker chest in a sitting area by the pond. When the winds came thru that fish rode that wicker basket to the pond, it stopped ubruptly when it hit the landscape block on the edge of the pond and that fish was launched in the air and flew right into the pond. One of my big female goldies must’ve been hit w/ the fish b/c she’s got a scrape on her face and her lower lip is a little split. Poor thing! I feel terrible. Hubby says fish are tough and she’ll be o.k. She’s swimming around and eating like normal. I feel like giving her a valium or somthing =) Just kidding. I think I will find a new spot for that ceramic fish though!
