What size tank?
Sometimes fish will become “evil” if they are in an undersized tank due to basic “survival of the fittest” instincts kicking in. They thin out the heard so that they have a better chance of survival.
Sometimes, you can “trick” them into thinking they have a larger water volume by having lots of live plants and frequent PWC’s (partial water changes) so that the hormone levels stay low in the tank. Advanced filtration media like Purigen will also help remove some of the hormones.
