Aquarium Cleaning

Anything you can remove simply let soak in a bucket with 50:50 vinegar and water. On the glass surfaces you can use a new razor blade to remove them. At times I use straight vinegar on a paper towel to remove buildup around the tank’s inner border, it’s safe to use but lowers PH temporarily if too much gets in the tank so careful with it. The plastic plants can be cleaned by soaking in a light solution of H2O2 (peroxide) or very light solution of bleach. You should test either method and solution strength on a small piece first to make sure it does not effect the color of the fake plant.
As for staring a siphon, I imagine using a gravel vacum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGU-IQk_xO8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa_440OaQxE
Hope that helps Giancarlo Podio, LMD
