Angels Getting Very Aggressive
I have mature angels, 3 in a 55g and 3 in a 20l. The trio in the 20 are half the size of the very large ones in the 55, even though they grew from fry in a 90g. Someone suggested that infrequent water changes may have contributed to their stunted growth.
Anyway, the three big marble angels seem to stay in a very consistent pairing…..always 2 on one side of the tank and the other one opposite. I believe that the pair are sexed, and the odd one out is a male. Two of these fish have a noticeable hump between the dorsal fin and their eyes. This hump is quite pronounced and is not on the paired partner. I had a pair of Convicts where the male had a hump, and was nearly twice the size of the female.
I’m not looking to breed these angels, so it doesn’t matter to me other then I’d like to know if others have similar physical characteristics. undecided? :- )
